If you run it as a service you won't have to worry about it shutting down when you log off. I'm running it on an NT 4.0 box without any problems at all. -----Original Message----- From: Ron Taxer [mailto:rtaxer () ewinwin com] Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2001 11:55 AM To: snort-users () lists sourceforge net Subject: [Snort-users] snort on Win2k I've been messing around with snort for win2k lately. It works great until you log off. When you log back on and try to run snort it complains about not being able to access your rule files that are includes in a main rule file. Recreating the file works but copy and pasting doesn't. Any ideas besides put it on a Linux box.
