anti-sniff

Hi all,
I have just started  learning snort,need one solution.my computer's cable is connected to the internet service 
provoider's hub directly.i suspect a sniff from that hub,they have a ISS IDS.i wanted a good anti sniff tool,also ISS 
should not detect that iam running anti sniffer.if there are no other choices,then i dont mind ISS detecting.but it is 
the worst case.can snort do anything like detecting a sniff ?
