Hi people,
Anyone tried to run Snort on a Alpha platform?
(like DS20)
Either under Tru64 or Linux/Alpha.
Particulary how does the Alpha CPU performs
with a good amount of rules and nifty features
like tcp reassembly enabled ?
I have a PIII-500 box here with 60% of the CPU
for Snort (good amount of rules but nifty
feature disabled like preprocessor stream2 and
stream4)
The current box is analyzing around 50megabit/sec.
regards,
Francois
