Newbie Alert: Missing Install Dependency

All,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I haven't had any luck finding the
answer in the documentation or otherwise...  I am attempting to install
1.7-1 on my RH 7.1 machine and am receiving the following failed dependency
message:

[root@devastator app]# rpm -ivh snort-1.7-1.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        libcrypto.so.0 is needed by snort-1.7-1
        libssl.so.0 is needed by snort-1.7-1

I do have a compatible version of libpcap installed, and I also have openssl
installed (which appears to be linked to these two files somehow...)

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...
