Running Snort against Rules...

I am using snort 1.8.2 with snortsnarf.  When I attempt to run
snort against the Rule file using the following command: snort -A full -c
snort.conf

I get the following error.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

C:\Snort>snort -A full -c snort.conf
Log directory =

        --== Initializing Snort ==--

[!] ERROR: Can not get write access to logging directory log.
(directory doesn't exist or permissions are set incorrectly
or it is not a directory at all)

Fatal Error, Quitting..
