Snort on Win2k with Ethereal

I create the script (in idscenter.exe) and then load it.   I am running a
Packet Capture driver for Ethereal. When I try it from the command prompt I
get:

snort -c snort.conf -i 1
and get Initializing Network Interface
ERROR: OpenPcap() device  open:
        Error opening adapter
Fatal Error, Quitting..
