WEB-MISC http directory traversal - What is this?

Hi Yah,

WEB-MISC http directory traversal is showing up in snorts logs heaps of
times, I've done searches but I can't find anywhere that tells me exactly
what it is and should I be concerned about it. The snort rules references
whitehats.com but that is currently off line.

All I need to know is where to go to find out what it is or need some one to
outline what it is
