I've installed snort on two old sparcs, and the following nmap scans causes snort to core dump: nmap -sX -f <snort_sensor>
Weird.
Both Snorts are: Version 1.8.1-RELEASE (Build 74) By Martin Roesch (roesch () sourcefire com, www.snort.org)
Hrm... I'm running Version 1.8.1-current (Build 82), on Solaris. I've got it on some older Sparcs (5/10/20) and I don't see that same type of behavior. I no errors from 'nmap -sX -f -v <sensor>'. I'm running that from an OpenBSD 2.9 box... Snort ran just fine, no errors on the truss output. Perhaps it's OBSD related? <wanders off to dig around in the code...> ----- Erek Adams Nifty-Type-Guy TheAdamsFamily.Net _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
