Ok, lets start at the top:

        What OS?
        What Hardware?
        What version of Snort?
        Did you install MySQL headers?
          If so, did you tell ./configure that you did?  --with-mysql?
          If so, then try it as ./configure --with-mysql=/usr

If you'll search back over the last 2 weeks or so, you'll see many posts
regarding this issue.
