got demarc 1.6?

question:

has anyone else gotten demarc (puresecure) 1.6 to work properly with snort
1.8.6db (demarc modified)?

I can't make rule updates via the web, they fail with psd reporting:

Appears to be an invalid ruleset / snort.conf
RULES INVALID... NOT UPDATING CURRENT RUNNING CONFIG/RULESET!

Not HUPing snort process because it appears the new ruleset is invalid

Also, are pass rules working correctly in 1.8.6?  All of mine seem to be
ignored, despite:

        --== Initializing Snort ==--
Rule application order changed to Pass->Alert->Log 

eh?
