Fast alerts and mysql logging

I may have just found a bug, or maybe I'm unclear on the -A flag.

I ran snort with a '-A fast' option to use fast style in the alerts file.

This broke mysql logging.

If I take out the -A option, snort mysql logging works fine.

How can I get around this?  Specify fast alerting in the config file
instead?
