Can anyone tell me in detail, how one can make Snort act as a Firewall ???????????
uhmm.. why? Snort is an Intrusion Detection System, not a firewall. It's an entirely different product with a different purpose. There is however Snort-inline and HogWash. But those two are Gateway (or Inlines) IDS's. Some also use the hyped-up term Intrusion Prevention System. But it's not a firewall... Regards, Frank
