Need help on Snort DB

HI ... 
       I am having snort running on Linux PC with ACID. but now i cannot view the ACID pages. Its become very slow.... 
and not able to get the result pages. the database size grown upto 8 GB . its running with MySQL .... so i would like 
to empty the database. i dunno how to do it. 
      Could u please help me to remove the datas in the tables. in the snort database , totally there are 20 tables. so 
how to do that ...
