snort compilation problems with mysql

Hi all,

I am trying to install snort + mysql, and i have the following problem (SUSE 8.0).

1. I should add the "default_directory = /usr/lib/mysql" to my configure.

2. I run ./ configure --with-mysql and i have no problem --->>>  checking for mysql .......yes

3. But when i run make, the following msg appears:
        "/usr/i486-suse-linux/bm/ld: cannot find -lmysqlclient"

4. I try several things but nothing works !


What can i do?
