Re: disabling promiscuous mode sniffing

Running ifconfig -a shows that eth0 is running in promiscuous mode. So, I'm
using the -p option in the wrong context or maybe I need to manually disable
promiscuous mode on that interface.

Example...

snort -p -d -l /var/log/snortlog -h blah.blah.blah.blah -o -c
snort.conf -s -D
