Portscan2 dies ...

Has anyone else noticed that spp_portscan2 stops functioning after a period of days? The older one, spp_portscan, sails merrily along, unaffected by whatever took portscan2 down. I have portscan2 logging to a file of its own, and what I actually observe is that log entries cease. It restarts if Snort is reset, but will die again in a few days as before. The platform is a SunSparc5, Solaris2.7, Snort2.0.0, compiled using gcc2.95.2 with flexresp enabled.
