what's the meaning of "ERROR: OpenPcap() FSM compilation failed:"

Hello, 
I'm using the Snort 2.0 binary from both Snort.org and Silicon Defense, I've attempted to install Snort according to 
"Snort Installation Manual--Snort, MySQL, ACID, & Apache". AFter successfully installing and configuring the mysql, I 
tried to start snort service by:
snort /SERVICE /INSTALL -c d:\applications\snort\etc\snort.conf -l d:\applications\snort\log –i1

Then the following mistake occurs:

D:\Applications\Snort\bin>net start snort
The Snort service is starting.
The Snort service could not be started.

A system error has occurred.

System error 1067 has occurred.

The process terminated unexpectedly.



Then I attempted to run "snort.exe -c d:\applications\snort\etc\snort.conf -l d:\applications\snort\log -i1 -y"
The following error occured:

D:\Applications\Snort\bin>snort.exe -c d:\applications\snort\etc\snort.conf -l d
:\applications\snort\log -i1 -y
Running in IDS mode
Log directory = d:\applications\snort\log

Initializing Network Interface \Device\NPF_{1263EF5F-2CA1-48D1-9BC4-FA78G446A641}
ERROR: OpenPcap() FSM compilation failed:
        PCAP command: %s

Fatal Error, Quitting..



Is there anyone who can help me solve the problem?
