Help w/ ODBC Setup

I am trying to set up an ODBC connection to an Oracle database on
windows 2000 but I get the following messge:
 
database: compiled support for ( mysql odbc mssql )
database: configured to use odbc
database:          user = jalil
database: password is set
database: database name = alcatraz
database:   sensor name =
ALBORZ:\Device\NPF_{B5C27330-ED74-4FDB-9E4A-5EA4608204
59}
database: ODBC unable to connect
Fatal Error, Quitting..
 
I was not able to use Oracle directly either. I get an error that oracle
is not supported.
