So I read about snort and ran apt-get to install it on my debian firewall. Well i proceeded to play with it and broke it so I was just going to start from scratch and remove it with apt-get when i probably should of reconfigured. So anyway removing snort didn't delete the /etc/snort and the /var/log/snort so i manually deleted those otherwise installing it again just used the same messed up conf. Anyway now when I apt-get snort it spits this out at me... chown: failed to get attributes of `/etc/snort/snort.conf': No such file or directory dpkg: error processing snort (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: snort E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Anyway to fix this so it will make the default snort.conf again? I know it did it the first time i installed it and I don't know why it's not just doing it again. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by Dice.com.
