snort and mysql socket error

Hi,

I am new to using snort with mysql database.  I am trying to figure out why 
I am getting this mysql socket error.  I have searched for mysql.socket in 
/var/lib/mysql, but there isn't a mysql subdirectory in /var/lib directory.  
Any help is much appreciated!
