More than likely you have an error in your configuration file.  Take a good
look at your syntax and options.  You might check the Event Logs for a clue
as well.

Hi,

      I have installed windows based snort.

The installed things are

  Ids center,Ids policy manager,snort.WINPCAP.

when i start snort i'm getting snort.exe has performed an error and wiill be
closed by windows.What is this error??
How could i rectify it.

       Advance thanks for whoever helps me.
