Need help regarding snortsam .....

[linux <risingtux () softhome net>]

dear all,

I'm new to snortsam ...

i'm using snort-2.1.2 and followed all steps to patch it for snortsam.
then recompiled it and reinstalled it ..
also compiled snortsam-2.23
now both are getting started properly .. my snort is also able to 
connect to snortsam but then immediately throwing error ...

2004/12/22, 17:03:14, -, 1, snortsam, Starting to listen for Snort alerts.
2004/12/22, 17:03:38, 192.168.1.1, 1, snortsam, Error: Protocol version 
error! Ignoring snort station 192.168.10.1

also while starting snort .. it throws following message in 
/var/log/messages.

Dec 22 17:03:38 sys1 snort: INFO => [Alert_FWsam](FWsamCheckIn) 
Connected to host 192.168.10.1.
Dec 22 17:03:44 sys1 snort: WARNING => [Alert_FWsam](FWsamCheckIn) Did 
not receive response from host 192.168.1.1. Will try again later.
Dec 22 17:03:44 sys1 snort: Snort initialization completed successfully

Pl guide me how to solve this problem.
