MacOSX bus error, snort-2.8.3.1 install

I keep getting a bus error on my MacOSX after installing Snort-2.8.3.1 and
running in IDS mode, despite having followed, as best I can, the
installation instructions, previous posts to this list, and other advice
pertaining to this problem.

Attached are (1) my installation script, (2) my snort.conf file, and (3) the
output from the installation and execution.  All the information I could
think of about my system and my installation is in these files.

Note the bus error at the end....
