When to update gen-msg.map, reference.config, classification.conf, unicode.map?

I noticed when I downloaded rule updates with Pulled Pork that
gen-msg.map, reference.config, classification.config, and unicode.map
were included in each download. Should these be updated with every rule
update? I realize they would probably not change very often, but
manually paying attention to update them when they change probably isn't
going to happen.
