yes, of course... a responsive question is "what, exactly, are you looking to do?"

snort can run on multi-core or multi-CPU systems... if you have multiple network 
segments, you should consider to have a suitable sniffer device per segment... 
this offers better throughput and more granular management... you just need to 
be more specific with your questions and ideas...
