yes, the above line should include the file name of the .so or .dll file...


eg:
# path to base preprocessor engine
dynamicengine /usr/lib/snort_dynamicengine/libsf_engine.so



additionally, someone somewhere has done something to apparently autofeed list 
posts to some sort of support ticket management system... if this was you, 
please stop...

to list management: support () sacatech com is the email address of the 
unwanted/undesired support ticket stuff... the email has been reported as spam 
but may need purging from the list subscribers...
