I'd sent a message to tcpdump-workers on 2008-01-24 with the subject 
line "Re: [tcpdump-workers] Libpcap reentrancy and PF_RING patch", which 
included a patch that has a separate pcap_read_pf_ring() routine in 
packet-linux.c and that sets handle->read_op to point to that routine if 
a PF_RING socket is being used, and cleaned up some other issues; did 
you get a copy of that message?
