By running "make check" in the top-level source directory for tcpdump.

They do *not* test the capture mechanism, so they do not involve any interaction with the wireless device.  They just 
do regression tests on the dissection of captured packets, by running tcpdump against a savefile and comparing the 
results with a text file giving the expected results.
