Hacking web apps

Hi all,
        I've got a pen test to work on, and I've found a web-enabled
application that's attached through JBOSS into what they said is
eMatrix.  What is eMatrix?....is it pen-testable?  It's the interface
into Oracle, and it uses a proprietary language...but I'm wondering if
anyone's ever run into it, and has any advanced information on the
topic.
