unstallation problem bug?

Dear Sir,
I have just installed Wireshark 1.4.3 on my PC operating system XP
professional..  I felt that the programme may be a bit to risky advanced for
me.  Kaspersky warned me that they could not safeguard me after
installation.
I have now tried to un-install the program through the Control panel,
install icon for Wireshark.  However, it says that I can't because Wire
shark is running.  I checked by Control alt delete to se if it was running
it was not according to this information.  I also checked wit regfix to see
if it was in the start up list, it was not.  Please help to un -install the
Wireshark programme as I feel that I am still to unskilled to use it.
