Status of NEW_MENU_CODE in main_menubar.c

Is anyone using builds of Wireshark with NEW_MENU_CODE defined in main_menubar.c?
How do we want to proceed with this define?

We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that
works. Some say that should read Microsoft instead of technology.
