Hello,
I have prepared the third-round testing package of Nmap and Zenmap for
Mac OS X.
http://nmap.org/dist/nmap-4.60-test3.dmg (20 MB)
This release addresses a syntax error when running the wrapper script
with Python 2.3. Also I hope this fixes the crash reported by Benson
that looks like
GThread-ERROR **: file gthread-posix.c: line 197 (g_mutex_trylock_posix_impl): error 'Invalid argument' during 'pthread_mutex_trylock'
aborting...
Abort trap
I was able to reproduce the crash by forcing the application to run as
translated PowerPC code under Rosetta. After I patched glib using a
patch from Inkscape it didn't crash any more.
In the next release I plan to address the crash reported by Vlad Alexa
Mancini on 10.4. I believe this is caused by using the version of py2app
that comes with Mac OS X 10.5, which is built for 10.5 specifically.
