Any thoughts on "Tor"? Is this a safe and effective way to achieve

In my opinion, Tor nowadays is the most simple and maybe used way to get
a good level of anonimity. It allows you to be installed in few steps
even if you're not a security expert. In addition there is also a tool
called Vidalia that allows you to track geographically the used routes.

But of course Tor, alone, does not make the anonymity. You should use
other tools combined with like PGP or GPG for your mails and tools like
TrueCrypt for your datas.
