Until about 2 years ago we attempted to do this in house.  We were
able to do a good job in detecting and dealing with spam and virus'.
However it was still using our bandwidth.  We went to an outside
service, Postini.  Immediately we saw over a 14% decline in our
incoming Internet bandwidth.  Plus we no longer have cost associated
with the administration and maintenance of machines we were using.
