What's interesting is, I have seen many RH 'admins' that
can't drop to the
text based commandlines and do anything, I've never worked
with an 'admin'
on hp, aix, solaris, sgi, etc that was GUI dependant. Now,
endusers and
desktops are another matter entirely.

Does Red Hat come with a GUI then? ;-)

Without giving too much away (eg breaking the NDA I've signed), almost all
of the practical parts of the RHCE exam are command line based.

If you can't touch type, don't take the RHCE exam...

I still watch my fat little fingers as they tend to do not what my mind
tells em <smile> finger-farts don't chan know.

But, John, I'm getting the impression you're making the RHCE out to be
on-level with the CISSP. I know we tend to get out of the 'testing'
format once we end college and find them to be even more stressing
<smile>.

Thanks,

Ron DuFresne

OK, so you're a Ph.D. Just don't touch anything.
