Jackie, What kind of "tool" did you write? I'm not a programmer and I don't know anything about ADO, would you share a copy of this program? Has anyone had any luck porting the Realsecure 3.2 database from Access to either Informix, Oracle or SQL Server? This 1 GB limit is for the birds. If have tried the Upsizer plug-in for Access. Everything runs ok but the schema is not converted properly.
Yes I have designed a tool that will take the data from several different RealSecure Access Databases and convert them to SQL server 6.5 or 7.0. It also allows the data to stay on the consoles so it does not delete adter conversion allowing you to decide if you wish to maintain them there or delete them. If you wish to design a similar tool yourself, I recommend that you read ADO 2.1 from Wrox Press. This will allow you to accomplish this task using one of several languages.
