Well... kind-of, yes :-)
i trying to compile NFR in linux Redhat 6.2 and found erorr message when make prosess like: Making in /home/nfr/nfr-2.0.3-research/nfr/lib/rkive make[2]: Entering directory `/home/nfr/nfr-2.0.3-research/nfr/lib/rkive' gcc -g -O -D_BSD_SOURCE -DBSD_SOURCE -I/home/nfr/nfr-2.0.3-research/nfr/include -I/home/nfr/nfr-2.0.3-research/nfr/include/free/ -Dfree_version -c -o adebug.o adebug.c adebug.c:28: initializer element is not constant ... anybody know how to solve this problem? please help me.....
It would be interesting to know how you got hold of it. I thought that the research-version has long-since been discontinued and removed from the web. Even the letter from MJR on the removal has been removed now, I think ;-) I have one copy sitting on a hard-drive somewhere, but haven't tried to compile it for ages... Anyway and regardless: NFR is (TTBOMK) _not_ supposed to compile under any Linux. This has been stated in the docs, on mailing-lists, by NFR-staff and and others. Believe it ;-) Back when it was available, I compiled it under FreeBSD 2.2.8-RELEASE with no errors - it was cool, even in its limitedness. Go to http://www.snort.org for a free IDS.
