Huh.

NFR 4.0 is less than a year old, NFR 5.0 is shipping shortly. NFR 2.03 has been around for a while, and if one installs the libpcap-ethereal-i386.rpm

Hi,

If you'll notice in the various README files, we try
to discourage use of NFR on Linux; the packet capture code in
the Linux kernel wasn't so hot for a long time, so we've had
people form a negative impression of our software based on
that.
Lastly, we took NFR 2.03 out of distribution a long time
ago. You can't get it from our web site anymore, and if you got
it from someone else, they are redistributing it in violation
of our license. Please read the license carefully before you
proceed.
We're very proud of our software and the most recent
versions of NFR are light years ahead of the old 2.X stuff.
Please don't spend your time with 2.X and especially don't
compare it with the commercial offerings from out competitors.
If you'd like to try to commercial version of the NFR IDA,
please Email me or sales () nfr net and we'll get you an
evaluation copy as quickly as possible.

mjr.
