    I agree with you, Mark.  I enjoy seeing how the industry is fairing.
Job postings are a good signal as to growth and/or stability (it is good
for morale).  I also understand why some people would be annoyed; I don't
like being spammed with 100's of listings of jobs that don't fit my skills
or interests.  I suggest that lists like this create a special topic "IDS:
Market Vitality" that includes a listing of: technological milestones,
social headlines (public policy/legislation/acceptance that directly
affects our industry), and job listings.  Each listing, of course, would
have a direct connection to the computer security industry in general.
     Would IDS be willing to monitor such a discussion topic?
     Am I alone in being interested in such a discussion topic?

As a small counterpoint - I find them interesting for two reasons:

It gives me some small indication of the health of the industry, and of
particular companies, and
(to me) more importantly, it tells me who might be doing interesting work
in
my geographic area.
Developing/integrating c2 s/w is what I currently do for a living, but
systems and network security is my passion.
