I have observed a similar thing with my local ISP, doing a traceroute reveals the first host is on the LAN prefix 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.10, OS fingerprinting it reveals that the host is running Linux, and it seems to display a RADIUS login banner on port 23. Anyone know the certain purpose for which an ISP could have such hosts? Mixter On Wed, 2 Feb 2000, RB wrote:
Hi all while doing a traceroute to my news server the first IP address is 10.76.X.X anyone know why ? Isn't this a private IP? Makes me kinda suspicious.............. Thanks RB
