Hi all while doing a traceroute to my news server the first IP address is 10.76.X.X anyone know why ? Isn't this a private IP? Makes me kinda suspicious..............
If you're an @Home user, be aware that they use private addresses (specifically, 10/8 addresses) on their internal networks. This is kind of bad; among other things, it means that traceroute breaks if you happen to run a router that filters out packets from private addresses.
