Cost and overhead they already have for IPv4. 

And if they already have IPv4 from their RIR, the IPv6 is free. 

And if they don't, then the IPv6 scenario works just like IPv4. Two providers, two address sets.

Get your own prefix from RIR and let your ISP route it to your. If you switch the ISP, let the new ISP route it to 
you. It is even possible to have 2 ISPs that route the same prefix to you - without having you own ASN.
