NOTICE: FTP service retirement for rr1.ntt.net - November 1, 2026

[Dan Lowe via NANOG <nanog () lists nanog org>]

The below applies to rr.ntt.net, the NTT DATA Global IP Network route registry service, specifically to the associated
FTP server on rr1.ntt.net.

NTT DATA Global IP Network has decided to discontinue our FTP service, which is used to fetch our current serial number
and a gzipped copy of our database, for mirror re-seeding or other purposes. As of Nov 1, 2026, we will shut off the
FTP service permanently.

Instead of FTP, we will provide the same data via a public web server:

        https://rr1.ntt.net/nttcomRR/

We have already updated our entry on Merit’s IRR page, as seen here:

        https://irr.net/registry/#NTTCOM

This will *not* affect normal mirror operations, or other IRR-related operations, in any way. The only change being
made is to the method by which one may retrieve mirror seed materials, changing from FTP to https.

To avoid mail list pollution, please direct questions or concerns to db-admin () rr ntt net.
