I can't wait to play with the new goods! However, I'll echo jah's
sentiments: umit.exe is MIA. I used the "Show Details" button while
installing on my xp sp2 rig and copied the results over to notepad for a
quick find on ".exe" and nothing for umit comes up. It would appear that
umit's directory tree is mostly there, as when you deselect Umit in the
installer, installation size is reduced by 1MB. There are plenty of .dll's a
few directories deep under %Program Files%\Nmap\umit\lib...but there's no
.exe in there that I can see :(

hope that helps...

Hello devs!

I installed SOC03 on XP SP2 using the .exe package this morning and UMIT
doesn't seem to have installed. I've never used UMIT so I'm not quite
sure what to expect, but I assumed that the shortcut in my Start Menu
would launch UMIT. It didn't because umit.exe doesn't exist in the UMIT
subdir or anywhere under the installation dir!

Originally, I installed SOC03 over SOC02 - which should work, right? - but
then I did a full uninstall (incl winpcap) and then reboot and reinstall.

No change, still no umit.exe

nmap itself seems to be working perfectly.

Who needs a UI anyway!!

Good luck sorting it out!
