This is a bug in Nmap 5.59BETA1, svn revision 25719 (updated and recompiled before posting) When ping scanning a local network subnet or host (i.e. nmap -sn -sP 192.168.1.0/24) the scan fails with the error: route_dst_netlink: can't find interface "<interface name>" Likely an error in the ARP scan, as it only occurs when calling nmap as root. The error is confirmed not to exist in 5.21, This was also posted in the Backtrack bugtracker a few days ago (http://redmine.backtrack-linux.org:8080/issues/166), but I searched nmap-dev archives and didn't see any mention of this error. _______________________________________________ Sent through the nmap-dev mailing list http://cgi.insecure.org/mailman/listinfo/nmap-dev Archived at http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/
