Outline

I'm about 100 emails behind here since I was just invited to the party today. I've read over the outline but I don't notice a place for mention of packages that use nmap. Nessus for instance. A good starting point would be a very sort mention in the "Command-Line vs. graphical interfaces" section that points the reader to a later chapter which would have a little more to it. Could add a section to the Chapter 11 "The Future of Nmap" which addresses how nmap performs in it's many adaptations. I don't propose to devote an entire chapter to this but it really should be mentioned the various uses of nmap. Possibly tie this into how simple scripting can automate some of the nmap functions (perl). Perhaps this last is beyond the scope of this book. Or some easy examples could be presented in the Cook Book chapter. --------------------------------------------------------------------- For help using this (nmap-writers) mailing list, send a blank email to nmap-writers-help () insecure org .
