That is a great idea. If you're going to the trouble to remaster, though, you might want to take a look at all the security tools in knoppix-std & burn it with an nmap-themed KDE desktop with security-oriented menus, etc.

Don't ask me what an nmap-themed KDE desktop would look like :-D

For all I know, the only reason nmap 3.10 is what's on Knoppix now is that they haven't updated their own master. But don't ask -- they might steal your thunder.
