I've had to resort to going through large vendors.
Not Amazon or Newegg, but like IX systems, Equus, and CDW.

Several of them will only sell drives as part of new server.

The goal is finding the cheapest thing they'll consider a server, and pack
it full of drives.

I ended up building something that was basically an entry-level server with
4 gigs of RAM, a very low-end CPU, and an HBA that let me put in 12 drives.

The server cost...

i can not second guess you. but in case you do, if you think 20TB HDDs
are scarce, see if you can find 20TB SSDs. :)

Not Shrubbery-based as far as I know, but in case it helps the inventory: I've had good experience with TACACSGUI(,
which put a web UI on top of Marc Huber's tac_plus (https://github.com/MarcJHuber/event-driven-servers), a separate
codebase from the Shrubbery fork.

TACACSGUI seems to have moved on to Taranac (https://github.com/TaranacLabs/taranac, https://taranac.pro/). I tested it

I would think the first question should be whether the person is
listed as registrant,
Or the business/company name is listed as a company name on the
registered name holder; with the person as a contact.
If the company name and address is listed, then be able to prove you own the
listed company name, address, and ideally phone number, etc.

In that second case: the current domain registrar ought to have a
recovery procedure
for the registered...

Hi folks,

A friend of mine bought a small brick and mortar business from a
proprietor who has since passed, taking his various login credentials
with him. He did not effect the associated domain transfer at
registrar Squarespace before that whole mess. What's the best practice
for recapturing that domain name? Court? UDRP? Or is there something
lighter weight?

She's had trouble reaching a human being at Squarespace to discuss the...

I think that Facebook's abandoned tacplus was based on shrubbery's but I'm not sure.
