Spam certainly does throttle the network down, however...Exchange is a
single instance database...   100,000 people may have gotten the email, but
there's only one copy of it stored on the server.  Granted, there would be
another 30 copies of the mail where people 'reply'd to'.... but I think
you'll find the several terrabytes thing waaaaay off base.
