CLI is the least bad management method.

* It gives the most complete information for troubleshooting

* Has the most complete set of configuration options for provisioning

* Works over EIA-232, so the device doesn't need network access for me 
to manage it

* CLI fails less often than GUIs. It is easy to restart in case of 
insanity - log out and log back in

* Automation using the CLI (rancid, netmiko) has proven to be the 
easiest to implement

I have no emotions about the CLI other than relative lack of 
frustration.
